Video Art Statement
“Disembodied Living”
The absent human figure manifests itself through what is worn—through garments that, in lieu of flesh, bear the memory of being. The suit, no longer mere attire, becomes a signifier of suspended presence, situated within the urban fabric.
Embodiment, in this lived space, distances itself from corporeality and finds meaning through spatial relation, through the silence of objects, and through their adjacency to the everyday.
In the present terrain, absence often renders itself more vividly than presence; and the wordless language of objects inscribes the lived trace upon the surface of the world.
